Christmas is one of the biggest celebrations, which brings people together and the family around a festive mood and love. Many times those festive days bring loneliness for some people, they live isolated without family. Elderly without family and homeless people dont feel the joy and the happiness of these days. For that reason we can give them a hug, we could support them and help them, we can offer them feelings from our heart, we can do charity. We could be next to them and offer them a unique experience. The meaning of the Christmas is to share emotions, love and happiness. The last years we were giving presents to each other and we visited some NGOS to help and support people. This year because of the loss of my father, our house is empty. I am not in the mood to celebrate, I feel the loneliness of Christmas. In general loneliness is not painful emotionally but it can have a devastating impact on one’s long term psychological and physical health. Spending the holidays with friends, even if not the closest friends or family, is far better than spending them alone and miserable. Another strategy is to reach out to people you know and suggest actual activities. Lastly, make every effort to put a smile and the right holiday spirit when you put on a smile and have the right holiday spirit when you do socialize. Make every effort to participate in group activities, charities and socializing.
